The holidays are upon us again. I wish everyone a great and happy holiday season.

Please read the news from Moose International about the membership drive. Part of our dues and all of the endowment donations help us support our seniors at Moosehaven and our children at Mooseheart. Please donate whatever you can to help. You may need these services one day and rely on the members to support you.

We are in need of a newsletter editor to put our newletter together and send to the printer. If you are interested, please contact me.

Brothers and Coworkers,

I am going to keep this short and to the point, as we are running out of pages in this month’s news letter, which is a good thing.

I want to say Congratulations to the new board of officers, for both the LOOM and WOTM, let’s make this year even better than last!

Moose International has wrapped up their membership drive that waved application fees for new members, on the 30th of April, however we are extending that offer at your Lodge through the 31st of May. Let’s get out there and sign up some new members and save them $20 bucks, for the application fee.

Horseshoes is in full swing so keep an eye on your news letter calendar for upcoming tournaments. Next tournament is Saturday 14 May.

Check out the fliers, in the news letter, for the two benefit poker runs happening next month. We are going to need some help at the 14 May Poker Run, in the kitchen, so Breakfast and Dinner go off without a hitch. So come on out to your Lodge for some fellowship, good times, and to assist (if you are so inclined) we have something to offer for everyone!

There is a signup sheet in the Social Quarters, for volunteers to help run the fireworks stand. Please talk to one of your Officers for any questions you might have regarding this; we need all of the people we can get! There is a class for selling fireworks, in Ruther Glen, to be held the 11th of June. TNT Fireworks will be providing lunch with the classes, more to follow as the time gets nearer.

I would like to thank Tom Burkhalter for giving the front of the Lodge a long needed face lift. Come on out and check out the new siding, and thank Tom for all of his hard work.

Thanks to all who participated and helped with the events of May! We had Installation, 2 Poker Runs, A No-Loser Raffle, A Horseshoe Tournament, not to mention bingo, and karaoke. I really appreciate how we all jump right in and do what we need to do. Not only does it show our passion and desire to watch our lodge/chapter grow, it also shows our appreciation for the men of LOOM 2215, who so unconditionally support us!

In the past month, I have been able to talk with quite a few of you. I love meeting new people and discussing the plans for the upcoming year and how we can work together to create so much fun! There are so many ideas and things I have heard you talk about, my head is spinning…and I love it! Remember to always read the newsletters for important information and upcoming events. We really enjoy seeing you supporting OUR chapter!

SAVE THIS DATE-June 10th!! I consider this to be one of THE most important events of the year. We would love to see each and every one of you come out for our “Family Picnic in a Crock Pot” event. There is no cost for this event. Just bring a dish that you cooked in the crock pot for sharing. Take this evening to get to know your officers and your other co-workers. This is an opportunity to get to know each other a little better, make new friends, and show off what I expect to be, your out-of-this-world-delicious crock pot talents!

Thanks, Julie Barrett, Publicity Committee Chair, for helping get the facebook going! We can now be found on facebook by searching under Stafford Moose. This is a great networking tool to benefit the men and the women. Use our facebook to talk to one another. Feel free to post your events, funny pictures and anything else you’d like to post. So far, I think most of our officers are on there and you can friend them, too! Just remember, if you see a camera at the lodge, you may find your photo posted on our facebook, right Kim? Smile pretty and watch out for the paparazzi!

We are attempting to go green where we can. The newsletter can be emailed to you instead of mailed, not only will it save the trees, but will also decrease the cost of printing and mailing. If you are willing to go green with us, please send an email to gotmoosenews@aol.com and you can be added to our emailing list and get your newsletter delivered right to your in box, faster than everyone who chooses to go the snail mail route.

If any of you would like to hold an event to help raise money for our chapter or some other charity, let me encourage you to contact me. Events, fundraisers and dinners can be done by any co-worker. Charity work is addicting for me and there is nothing that gives me more heart-swelling satisfaction than giving back a little of myself to help others. Call me with your ideas and thoughts, our officers will work with you to make it happen! We have already scheduled 3 car washes in the next two months, one will be on 610 and two will be on Rt 3! Wanna help? Details are in this newsletter.

I would like to thank everyone for their support over the past couple of months helping me get acclimated to this position. Without the assistance of so many of you, I am not sure I could have done this. A big thanks to past Senior Regents, Kay Evinger, Debbie Stevick and Trish Covington! All 3 of you have given me much guidance and I appreciate your continued commitment to our chapter and your willingness to share with me your experienced advice!

Let me remind you once again…You ARE an important piece to the WOTM Chapter #2361 puzzle. Missing pieces make our puzzle incomplete. We need you!
